About the Site

Focus Organic.com was purchased with the intent of creating a website based on organic information and items. While doing research for the site, however, I decided I really wanted to write not just about organic topics, but about more general eco-friendly topics as well. There is so much to learn and to write about that I couldn't leave out so much!

My name is Stefanie, and I started Focus Organic.com. I am currently trying to live a more green life myself, and I hope to share what I learn with the visitors of this site, and to also learn from the visitors. In learning to be more eco-friendly, we can better ourselves, our lives, and the planet. Implementing even just small changes into your daily living can help to make a big difference, and my hope is that, with this site, you may learn something new and decide to make your life more green, as well.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to comment on the front page or use the form on the contact page.

About the Authors

StefanieStefanie is the main author at Focus Organic. She is a goofball, as witnessed by her picture. She enjoys being outdoors, the ocean, family, Autumn in New England, tea and rye toast, macaroni and cheese, pondering the meaning of life, trying to sound more articulate than she is, her kitties (or furry butts), horror movies (especially zombies), and the scents of baking apples and cinnamon. She is married and living in St. Louis with her husband, but desperately wanting to move home to CT.

Joie Tamkin a fun loving California girl, now living in Texas. With her spoiled childhood of growing up on the beaches in San Diego she gained a huge respect for the environment. She knows going green isn't easy, but there is a little bit of green in all of us.

ashley.jpgAshley Daigneault likes to think of herself as a good blend between tree-hugging hippie and forward-thinking modernist and is a huge advocate of sustainable living for the 21st century. She lives in New England and her disdain for the winter is equal to her love for the summer, which balances out nicely. She is currently pursuing an MBA in sustainable business and constantly on the prowl for the next great book on eco-friendly living and environmental issues. She is dedicated to organic eating and likes to cajole friends and family into putting down the processed foods and trying healthier fare. In addition to blogging for Focus Organic, she also regularly makes appearances at the Green Life Smart Life blog.

jennie.jpgJennie Lyon is a mother of one who wants to make the Earth greener one family at a time, starting with her own. She lives in the foothills of Colorado with her fabulous husband and son. Her family is very dedicated to living a green lifestyle and they enjoy sharing their experiences and ideas with others. Jennie loves farmer's markets, fancy grocery stores, vintage jewelry and all things Earth friendly. In addition to blogging for Focus Organic, she also writes her own daily green blog Sweet Greens.
