Welcome to the June 15th, 2009 edition of All Things Eco.
Be sure to Stumble the posts you like, or submit them to other social bookmarking services. Let's promote each other, as well as this blog carnival.
If you haven't seen the announcement already the One Village Gifts bracelet giveaway has ended, and our winner was announced (congratulations again, Kathy). Thank you to everyone who entered! If you were hoping for a second chance at winning, sorry, Kathy has already contacted me back with her address!
All Things Eco will be having a minor overhaul very soon. I plan to set up categories to organize the carnival, so when everyone submits, a category option will be available for your submission. I'm currently trying to brainstorm the best way to go about the categories to fit every submission in, but for now, there will be an "Other" option. So far I've come up with these categories: crafts, recycling, health & beauty, gardening & food, alternative energy, travel & transportation, pets & animals, home & family, technology, frugality, activism, climate change, news & media, and personal. Too many? If you've got any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!
For a taste of how categories will work, I've organized today's submissions into categories for everyone.

However, it is abundantly clear that doing nothing, maintaining the status quo, carrying on regardless and business as usual are totally unviable options. Interesting to see Tyler's articles on becoming a green investor. I recently decided to invest in some equities and my advisor pointed out that you get a bigger return from investing in green/environmental focused companies. Unfortunately, it is because they are considered more of a risk. But now's a good time to get into them, as they must be the way of the future - otherwise, there is no future!
