Welcome to the April 13th, 2009 edition of All Things Eco.
Be sure to Stumble the posts you like, or submit them to other social bookmarking services. Let's promote each other, as well as this blog carnival.
Forgot to mention last week that we reached 300 posts! Actually, this is our 302nd. Also, we have a number of giveaways coming up to celebrate Earth Day and Focus Organic's first birthday, so keep an eye out for those.
So I've decided, since next Wednesday is Focus Organic's 1st birthday, next week's carnival is going to be a little different. You can still submit any article you like, but I would also like to see articles on eco and organic celebration ideas! This will be an option to select when submitting to next week's carnival. To submit for next week, click here.

Lindsay presents How to Forage for Pine Nuts posted at Off the Urban Grid. From the article:
Here in the U.S., there aren’t a huge number of recipes that call for pine nuts (though pesto comes to mind), but the small roasted seeds are tasty, and they command a premium price as well. Most of the pine nuts purchased in the U.S. are imported, but that doesn’t mean they don’t grow here. In fact, you might just be able to find some of your own by foraging locally (and save a few dollars while you’re at it).
