Deluxe Honeydrop

When I'm sick or have a cold coming, I always crave juice. Not that I don't normally, but when I'm sick, I crave it like a crazy lady. The last couple of weeks, I felt like a cold was chasing me, and luckily, I had some deluxe honeydrop, an organic honey-infused drink. I couldn't taste it at the time, with my stuffed up nose, but it sure felt good on my throat ;)

When the stuffy nose went away, I tried the drinks again. I was surprised by the results.

About deluxe honeydrop

First, let me tell you a bit more about deluxe honeydrop. It is made "with a drop of deluxe honey and a drop of deluxe premium juice," and is USDA certified organic. Each 16ox bottle contains 80 calories and no sugar, so it's a good alternative to standard juices or soda. It is even packaged in BPA free recyclable bottles. It comes in four flavors - Bee Good (apple), Bee Alive (blood orange), Bee Calm (chamomile and tea) and Bee Strong (blueberry).

The drink was created by David Luks, a cancer survivor who studied the health benefits of an organic lifestyle. He realized there was an opportunity in the beverage industry to create a great tasting drink that uses raw organic honey as its foundation.

So, how does it taste?

Why were my results surprising? Well, the flavor I thought would be my favorite, Bee Good (apple), ended up being my least favorite! Not to say I didn't like it, I just didn't like it as much as the others. Bee Alive (orange), which I thought would be my second favorite, came in in 3rd place, with Bee Strong (blueberry), which I expected to be my least favorite in 2nd, and Bee Calm (chamomile and tea) in 1st.

All of the flavors were good. Sweet, but not overly sweet. You're not going to drink it and think it's only something a kid would like - I think kids and adults could both enjoy deluxe honeydrop. The flavor is similar to flavored waters, but better. Mild enough where you don't feel like you're drinking liquid candy, but strong enough to satisfy.

Deluxe Honeydrop can be purchased at Whole Foods and other specialty natural food stores, as well as select spas and yoga studios.

  1. I haven't heard of honeydrop before but it certainly sounds interesting. Im not too sure about the camomile tea though as its a taste that nice when hot but may be not cold. When I feel run down I always have a craving for milk and find that juice makes my throat worse if its already sore.

  2. This sounds like a really great product. Do you happen to know where you could buy some of this stuff? I'll have to check my local natural food store to see if they are carrying it. I do love their concept of honey though. It makes just about anything taste good and is really good for sore throats.

  3. That's what I forgot! I updated the post to include locations :)
