The contest is now closed, as are the comments on this post. The winners will be announced and contacted tomorrow, September 7th. Thank you for all the entries!
Finally, the contest I have been telling you all about is here! I love this one because the concept behind the products is so neat. The Act2 GreenSmart bags are made from 100% certified post-consumer PET bottles. Yep, they're made from plastic bottles! According to cleanair.org, Americans alone throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour. Multiply that times 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we have 21.9 billion plastic bottles in our landfills in one year. Act2 GreenSmart is doing their part to help keep some of those bottles out of the landfills by turning them into great looking bags. This is why I've been so excited about this contest!

I was very excited about this contest but in reading the details I found out I would have to be a resident of the U.S.A. (I'm Canadian). I run into this all the time and I HATE IT.
Tell your sponsor that the environment is a global problem so the contest should be global.
Anyways I really love the site so I am going to subscribe to the RSS.

Those are incredible looking bags and to read they are made from plastic bottles is even better! I just found your site and subscribed by reader as I see several other posts regarding organic cleaning which is very important to me since I have severe allergies to all chemical cleaners. Looking forward to reading more organic tips.

Oh these bags are so cute! I wouldn't mind haveing one. That's really neat how they reuse material to make something new. I think this is even cooler than making clothes out of duct tape =)

Isn't it cool how they're making more products from plastic bottles? (Of course, if people would just drink tap water, it wouldn't be a problem, but I digress...) I have a winter hat made from them and it's so soft, it's amazing! Love it.

We have a lrage wholesale business and a shamed as I am about this we only now started recycling and have to convey it to all our employees that this is where our business is going. But this blog gave me an idea about using recycled bottle to make plastic belt buckles which then I will put an image on.. So i might have won even if i don't win any of the prizes...

I wanted to thank you for writing what I said about not feeling 46yrs. old. I don't act it and have been told, don't look it. I forgot to mention that, in my last comment, there is or used to be a company that made carpet out of plastic bottles.People said that it was soft, like real carpet. Personally, I hope that they still do.Happy Birthday Kenny!! I hope that people doing sites like your doing and what changes some companies are doing will make it so a lot more people can get to 46 and way older, in a clean world.
