Be sure to Stumble the posts you like, or submit them to other social bookmarking services. Let's promote each other, as well as this blog carnival, because I want to see more posts coming in!

I am receiving an increasing number of posts that don't have a thing to do with anything eco or environmentally aware. These posts won't be listed, so please be careful to only submit posts that are on the topic of the carnival!

Cindy King presents Can You Learn From International Social Predictions On Rising Gas Prices? posted at Cindy King. Cindy says, "A German Guys Social Prediction On Rising Gas Prices and How They Will Impact America." I already see less and less cars on the road lately, and the public transportation in my area is horrible, which doesn't help in the least.

Hilary Green presents Ford Escape Prototype Gets 88 MPG posted at The Green Motorist. Lowering our dependence on fuel is very important, but I know there are debates about using ethanol in its place (having to do with the use of food product to create it). Anyone care to comment that knows more than I do?

Ametrine presents Gardening For A Sustainable Planet posted at Ways To Simplify. We, too, hope to start our own garden soon. Unfortunately, we have to wait until we move out of this 3rd floor condo and buy a house, as we have no land at all right now... Cross your fingers that we get news to be able to move back home soon before I rip all my hair out! I'll grow you a non-salmonella infected tomato :)

Maria presents Local Food: The Key to Surviving Record Gas Prices posted at Frugal Homesteading Blog. Maria says, "Not only is buying local food ecologically friendly and good for the environment, it may be the key to surviving record gas and food prices." Another useful link to add to the ones Maria posted is the farmers' market finder. A section of Maria's article that I thought important enough to quote:
For local food sources to thrive, people need to support it now. If gas prices never go down and we’re stuck with high and higher prices for driving and shipping, transported food will rise drastically. If local food sources are not established now, they won’t be there to fall back on when rising grocery prices force families to live on tighter and tighter budgets.

Victoria Everman presents Grow Organic Sprouts Sustainable Wisdom For All and Eco-Fashion Euphoria: Prairie Underground posted at Victoria Everman :: Sustainable, Creative, Enlightened Living :: San Francisco. The organic cotton dress/shirt on the left bottom of Victoria's Prairie Underground post can be purchased here,. and the organic cotton leggings can be purchased here. (although they currently only have them in black, brown, and white).

Frugal Babe presents Can’t Belive How Easy Cloth Diapers Are posted at Frugal Babe. I am always so happy to see Frugal Babe submitting her posts to the carnival. She is a new mom and makes it seem easy! I may have to hire her as my personal crafter when I have a baby... I can't sew for anything ;)

Elizabeth Day presents Hemp as an Agricultural Commodity posted at edaycafe.com.

Will presents Ways of Wasting Electricity | Standby Power | Cut It And Save Money - Your Finish Rich Plan - A Personal Finance Blog posted at Your Finish Rich Plan - A Personal Finance Blog. Will says, "A lot can be done if we decide to minimize the energy we waste through standby power."

APH presents EcoDensity: Scary Name, but Not-so-Bad posted at Market Urbanism. EPH says, "Vancouver’s City Council has approved an “EcoDensity” policy. How is EcoDensity different from regular density, which already comes pre-equipped with environmental benefits?"

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of All Things Eco using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

  3. Thanks! But I really can't sew either :) My mom's been helping me with all my sewing projects, and I've been using her machine. But, I bought my first used sewing machine over the weekend, and I'm going to start figuring it out... wish me luck!!

  6. Susan, thank you for the comment, but I would prefer to keep link exchanges on similar topics to my site.

    Will, you're welcome!

Frugal Babe, good luck with the new sewing machine! I had an old one that a neighbor gave me, but I was horrible with it and ended up giving it away again :)

Cindy, I thought about it and added it because, although it's not green persay, it does affect us all and the general idea can be related to eco topics :)
