Thanks to everyone for all the Happy Birthdays! The weekend was fun. We picked up a few dozen or more used books from a charity organization. Would have grabbed more but, with all the hardcovers, it was all we could carry
We got almost the entire 16 volume series of The Children's Hour hardcover storybooks from 1953... just missing volume 5. Anyway, on to the carnival!

Kevin Fleming presents Chevy Volt Aims for 100 MPG Rating posted at The Green Motorist. Is it just me, or do the interior pictures of the car make it look like a toy?
Athlyn Green presents An Innovative Way to Recycle Plastic Bags posted at Alternative Health/Holistic Living. Athlyn says, "A great way to convert plastic bags into usable products." Sounds similar to RecycleCindy's ideas
Dale Liebrecht presents Vegetarian posted at A Bag Full Of The Real Poop. Dale says, "It's cool and green to be a vegetarian!"

Lauren Rose presents THE CULTIVATION OF VEGETABLES | Own Home Style .com posted at Own Home Style .com. Laurel says, "Solazyme “is a synthetic biology company that has produced the first algal-based jet fuel that’s passed all ASTM specification tests for aviation fuel (freezing point, stability, density, etc). The post by Mac is great - if we could all get a little more out of the things we ALREADY HAVE, we'd do wonders for the environment. One of my pet peeves is often when people buy new things to "help the environment" without thinking about the energy and pollution required to make the item.

Irish, I agree. I hear about people buying new cars because they get 1 or 2 mpg better than the car they have now. The energy that went into creating that new car and the money they are spending versus the money they are saving makes the gas a money savings pretty much null!
P.L. Thank you! Yes, we receive a lot of great submissions for All Things Eco!
Patty, thanks for the link! I love Halloween, and making it more green is awesome
