April 3rd's Tip
Brushing Your Teeth Follow Up: Following on from last week's great tip on saving water while brushing your teeth, I thought I would take it one step further. Instead of trying to remember to turn the tap off while brushing your teeth, why not try this instead. Make it a small challenge every day to not turn the tap on at all for the purpose of brushing your teeth. Take a large glass of water with you when you brush your teeth. Use some of the water to rinse your mouth after brushing and the rest to clean the toothbrush. A good glass full of water is more than sufficient, and just think how much water you will have saved over a year. Try to get others in the household to do the same - this will be an awful lot of water saved in the long term.
This tip was submitted after last week's tip by Mr. Dirty Boots. I have to add that Marlene also suggested this idea in a comment on last week's post (after Mr. Dirty Boots emailed me the tip!). Thanks to both of you!

that is for sure something interesting,
We never think about the water issue until we have problems with the water.
Think about the Africa, where people do not have the privilege to let the water running from the tap.

I think Marlborogirl sums it up... we never think about water until there is a problem. This can be one step to take to help avoid a problem.

Property Sale, it should be, just so long as you don't pour the hole cup out to rinse off your toothbrush!

Really nice tip. I would think that simply making sure your faucet is off while brushing was enough, but this takes that a step further.
