Eco-Friendly Friday

October 10th's Tip

DogPet Adoption: October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Adopting a rescue animal is green because it helps with over pet population, not to mention you are giving a deserving animal a wonderful new life. Take it from me, my "recycled" rescue dog is the second best thing I've done in my life! (Marrying my husband is the first) - Contributed by Condo Blues

Help a Shelter

The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge is your chance to help a shelter win a grant of up to $25,000. Participating is simple. You can cast one vote every day for your favorite rescue. Eligible organizations with the most votes could receive one of the grants below!

  1. Every dog I've ever gotten has been a shelter dog, and they've enriched my life more than I can ever explain. SHELTER DOGS RULE!

  2. Oh, I would really love to adopt a dog..but I don't think my mom would appreciate me or any of my siblings getting another pet :(

  3. I adopted my first dog when i was 11, now being 20 I still have that dog and love her to death. (also just had 3 puppies that i cant give away lol)

  4. I'm a cat lover and I adopted my first cat when I was 5-year-old...

And, I hated those people that abandon the cats and dogs, and I think these people should be punished for what they done!

  5. We don't have a dog, but we do have two cats, and both were adopted from shelters. I would adopt them all if I could!
