Do you ever find yourself thinking of a really great idea and then it passes like the wind since you never wrote it down or acted upon it? Do you feel stuck? Perhaps you procrastinate and then beat yourself up over it. Maybe you do not forget the good idea you had but you never act and instead just dream of it now and then. I like to think of these inspirations as realities - if we have the courage to investigate and follow them, as long as they are for the greater good and not for yourself, they will happen!
We can often feel like the mountain goat. Stuck in a tight spot. But we, like the goat, usually manage to find our way. Do you travel through your life like this goat, with a curiosity that takes you to nooks and crannies that you might have missed if you did not even get out of the house? Why would you not follow a dream? Is there something in your past that makes you believe you are not good enough? Is your current living situation so bogged down with responsibilities and distractions that you cannot fathom taking on something else? Are you afraid of failing? Maybe the hard work it would take is scaring you away. Who knows?
You. You know. If only you start to trust yourself again and be committed to that. Nobody else can answer the questions I posed for you, certainly not I. What I can tell you is that you are good enough. I can tell you that you might consider shedding some of the responsibilities that bog you down: why are you collecting them anyway? I can also tell you that failing is a good thing as long you get back up! I just want to ask you, "What are you afraid of?" Many of us are afraid of the unknown, what we might discover. We might get hurt. Sometimes we have to fall and get a couple scrapes and bruises in order to move on to better things. When did we become so fearful of pain? It is inevitable in our lives and if we can exercise dipping in and out of it with our head on straight we can traverse the mountain of life much easier when pain hits us blindsided. It takes allowing some of the accumulations in our lives to die. Therein lies the paradox:
To lose fear of dying (AKA - failure, loss, pain, death,) we have to allow it to exist. Running from it creates a chase and resisting it makes it persist. Just some food for thought.
"Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom."--Rumi

Nobody in life succeeds without first having some failure. It makes you a lot stronger and more determined to be successful. Also, great point on the fact that so many people are afraid to take a risk. Some of the most successful people out there took a risk to get where they were at.
