Elvis & Kresse create beautiful bags and accessories by reusing a very unlikely waste source. After meeting the London Fire Brigade, and falling in love with their old hoses, Elvis & kresse started using the material at the heart of their designs. After 25 years of service the decommissioned hoses are still remarkably robust. A good clean removes the soot, grime and grease. The hoses are then fashioned into distinctive bags, belts and purses. Low maintenance and eco-friendly, the designs are practical and stylish.
Elvis & Kresse now collect decommissioned fire hoses from across the UK. They also use other unwanted materials. Embellishments such as belt buckles come from reclaimed pewter. Scrap sail cloth and parachute silk line the inside of their bags. Packaging comes from tea sacks, used boxes and newspapers. Labels are printed on used Air Traffic Control strips, with string made from strands of old coffee sacks. With 45 tons of waste reclaimed so far, the company’s products keep landfill space free. 50% of profits from the fire-hose line are donated to the Fire Fighters Charity.

The bag looks so stylish and from looking at it you wouldn't think that it is made from recycled hoses. I would be interested in seeing their purse line.

That's a really attractive man-bag. I am trying to convince my husband to wear one. Men are carrying around so much stuff these days...it would really come in handy.
I agree with Alicia, I would like to see the ladies purses as well.

I like such a style - it's natural and cute! By the way, this bag looks like it's made up of natural skin of high quality!
