I hate receipts. They waste trees, they waste space, and for me, they are essentially pointless. And yet I keep them. I stuff them inside my purse, inside my wallet, inside my pockets; I become a walking paper recycling bin until they actually make it into my recycling pile. This, though, tends to take me days, weeks, or even months... when I finally feel like cleaning out my wallet and purse (pocket stuffed receipts make it faster, or wind up going through the wash).
Why am I babbling about receipts, you wonder? Well, I recently became the lucky owner of two new wallets. These aren't just any wallets, they're deemed to be wallets for people who hate wallets. I don't hate wallets, necessarily, but I hate how full mine gets and how infrequently I empty it. These new wallets don't allow this to happen.
I hear you all now - "Stop saying wallet and get on with it!" Ok, ok. The wallet (ha! I said it again!) I'm talking about is The Jimi (and the Jimi X). Made from recycled pastic, The Jimi is an ultra-slim, water-resistant and recyclable take on the wallet, and at $14.95, the price can't be beat. The Jimi X, at $15.95, adds an external money clip. Both come in a variety of great colors.
If you're like me and your receipts sit in your wallet for so long they start to evolve into little paper monsters (why don't more stores let you say NO RECEIPT and NOT print them?), The Jimi is for you. It's just large enough to fit your credit cards and license / ID, so you're more inclined to toss those receipts in the recycling sooner. Now if you're rich (and I'm jealous!) and carry around a lot of money, Jimi might not be for you, because it's not meant to carry cash like that.
Now I just have to learn to stop shoving the receipts directly into my purse.

At least, with this Jimi wallet, we won't put all those name cards and coins the wallet anymore...

This surely is a nice "wallet" but it wont solve your concern with receipts, stores need to print this receipts otherwise they will be evading taxes ( so the print out is going to be made no matter if you ask for it or not), and if they do give you a receipt you will start storing them on your pockets or throwing them away on garbage cans with any recycle purpose

Nice one...I just dont like the idea of having a money-clipper on the outside of my wallet...

Fanny, I'm not sure about that. I've heard from others of some stores that don't have to print receipts if you don't want them. I'd imagine it's all kept in computer records, as well.
Gabe, The Jimi X has the external clip, The Jimi doesn't
