I think we'd especially love the shower timer because we have a habit of taking showers that are much to long. I'd love to try and save some water with this. Thanks for the chance.

Definitely the Toilet Tank Bank to reduce the amount of water expended per flush. My house was built in 1927 and my toilet is ORIGINAL to the house...that's right...I have a 1920s toilet which means lots of water with every flush.

There are so many useful items to help us live greener. My favorite would be 4 best-on-the-market compact fluorescent bulbs (75w equiv). Each month I try to replace a few of our old bulbs and this would help to get them all replaced that much sooner. I am always looker for ways to live better and do my part to live greener and to spread the word. I could share this with family to help them become more aware of green living.

I am also subscribed to the email updates.

We are fairly new to green living. We recyle, brush our teeth in the shower, compost but only now have we been focusing on organic products.
We could definitely use the insulated grocery bags. I can make regular shopping totes from organic fabric (the fabric arrives today) but how do you make it insulated?

This looks like a great kit! The shower timer would be great for my daughter - if I would let her, her showers would last 45 minutes! And she's not even a teenager yet. Ugh. The lightbulbs would be great too - I have swapped out about half of ours, but we aren't there just yet. I also like the idea of the SmartStrip - I hadn't seen those before, but with kids and electronics, that sounds like a great idea.

Is it OK tha ti am not really 'starting out' but i stillwant all the cool things [to share of course! ]...I think we are probably best off with the toilet tank bank since i have eager potty trainers...well, eager flushers at least...but i really want some of those Euro cleaning cloths

Almost all of it looks so helpful it's hard to decide which would make the largest impact.

What's striking me is how much marketing influences the ways we go green. Due to the PSA campaigns we've already switched most of our bulbs to compact fluorescents (& will switch the rest once we've upgraded some fixtures). Same with the shopping bags, although insulated would be a significant improvement.

However, I hadn't really considered monitoring the temperatures on the water heater or fridge, which would make sense to do considering those things are going all the time. Just monitoring the levels might help us reduce energy & save money big time.

I think the Klean Kanteen would be very helpful. Trying to not use bottled water is really hard and having something like this would make it much easier and "cleaner"
