I'm not really big on eating breakfast. I always do, because if I don't I will start to feel sick quickly, but I usually eat cereal. I see Nature's Path products in stores often, but have never tried their cereals, until now.
Nature's Path was kind enough to send me a few boxes of cereal to sample - Agave Plus Granola with Sunflower Seeds, Hemp Plus Granola, Optimum Slim, and Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch. There were also 3 packets of oatmel - Hemp, Flax Plus, and Original. All are USDA organic. Overall, I am very pleased, but I think I've formed an addiction to one of these cereals in particular (more about that later!).
The day I received the package, I couldn't help myself. I wasn't hungry enough to make up a bowl of cereal, but I did open some packages and sample the cereals as finger foods. I was very impressed, and thought that even if I don't like them with milk, I can just eat them plain! I didn't test Hemp Plus Granola this way, because, to be honest, I was hesitant with this one. I wasn't sure why, I just didn't really want to try it. Anyway...
Agave Plus Granola with Sunflower Seeds. I was a little nervous about this one, because I don't tend to like eating seeds. I was pleasantly surprised, especially by how it tasted with milk added. Good texture, sweet but not too sweet. I'd say if you like sunflower seeds (and maybe even if you don't), you'll probably like this cereal.
Hemp Plus Granola. Ahh, the one I was weary about. I put off trying this one until last, and now I know why. It's not bad in the sense that it grossed me out, I just didn't like it. It's sort of... boring, to me. I like more flavor in my cereal... maybe with bananas or other fruit it might be better?
Optimum Slim. This one is the best for eating as a snack, and great with milk, too. I was surprised by this one as well, because I thought it would be boring. Think something like Chex Mix (without the pretzels and other non-cerealy bits) mixed with Rice Krispies. Sounds a bit dull, but it's actually very good! The picture on the box shows cut up peaches in the cereal - I ate it plain, but it does seem to be the kind of cereal that would go well with fruit.
Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch. Ahh... saving the best for last. This cereal, I think, is my new favorite. To say it's good is an understatement... it's much better than just "good." The berries in this one are raspberries and strawberries. I'm big... no, huge, on the texture of my food, and the texture of this cereal is pretty much perfect. The fruit gives it a perfect sweet taste... It's just awesome. I can't say any more except that everyone should go buy some right now.
As for the oatmeals, that's up to question. I don't like oatmeal, so Andrew was going to be my taste tester. So far, I've only gotten him to try one (Hemp), and he didn't like it. I'm going to assume he's not going to like the others either, simply because he's more into oatmeal with added flavors (and these three are plain). I'm thinking about buying him the Apple Cinnamon or Maple Nut flavors from Nature's Path - I can almost guarantee he will like those.
Nature's Path cereals are loaded with whole grains and fiber, which promotes healthy digestion and helps you stay fuller longer (which can help shed those winter pounds this spring). All Nature's Path products are certified organic... and yummy.
Check out NaturesPath.com to see their other cereal and product options... I hope to try the Acai Apple Granola soon!

I like cereal without milk, I just don't like soggy I guess. I do like to eat the healthy brands like Kashi. I will give these a try, but I'll take your advice and avoid the Hemp one. I tried a healty version of cheerios once, don't remember the brand but it tasted like wall paper paste (not that I ever tasted wall paper paste, but I bet that cereal tasted like it!) Thanks for the reviews.

OatHealth Supplement

For you, Stefanie, I'd recommend an oat supplement since you don't like oatmeal. I'm sure you've heard about oats' positive effect on fat absorption and overall heart health. The problem is that it's hard to eat so much oatmeal in a day!
I included a link to a brand of oat bran supplement that you can add into anything.
