Although paraffin wax are mostly used for making candles i think vegetable wax candle will be good alternative and healthy. Actually any natural products are very eco friendly and healthy.

Amy, I'm sorry, I don't know of any alternatives. I'm sure there are, but I've never looked into it myself.

Hello, I am looking for a paraffin wax substiute for dipping hands and feet. This treatment is excellent for arthritis, dry skin, and healthy nail growth. I'm having the hardest time finding a substitute for the parrafin, and found your website. I agree, soy candles are so much better than paraffin candles. Sure, they are slightly more expensive but they also tend to burn slower and don't produce black soot.

Nope, they don't have to cost more, especially if you can buy supplies and create your own!

This article highlights the benefits of burning soy candles which as you've said is much better for the environment in your home as well as outside. They also don't have to cost more than their paraffin based alternative. Thanks for bringing this info to light with this article. Lets hope more people chose the more sc-friendly soy candles instead as a result of reading this.
