Great post. We should all put a box up at a local establishment and write "Recycle Gift Cards Here". And then mail them to a place that can recycle them. Hmmm, I think this is a good thing to get my kids involved in, ages 9 and 11.

Hampers, It surprises me that there are so many non-recyclable plastic items, too. Especially when it's items like the caps on bottles, etc., where the main part of the packaging is recyclable, but a small part of it isn't.

What I find shocking is that even nowadays, you can still purchase plastic packaging that ISN'T recyclable. Things like yoghurt pots, which you would think you can recycle you normally can't! Surely they can make almost anything out of recyclable materials now?
