Tomatoes: Never refrigerate tomatoes. Cold kills flavor, nutrients, and texture. On the flip side, heat makes tomatoes mushy and flavorless. Ideal tomato temperature is between 55 and 70 degrees F. To ripen tomatoes, store them in a pierced paper bag at room temperature with an apple for a few days....

Greeting Cards: In the U.S. alone, about 7 billion greeting cards are purchased each year. Wonder how many trees go into making those cards? I'm not sure I want to know! Why not forgo the traditional card, and send an e-card? Another benefit to e-cards is many of them are free! If you don't want to go that route, try buying recycled cards (which any card shop should carry), or tree-free cards. You an even make your own cards out of recycled paper....
