Free Stuff Online, the bottles are pretty cool

Paul, I tried the GreenWorks products, and they do work well. I think I'm just being paranoid about the brand name, lol!

Burt's Bees is iffy for me, too. Some of their products are rated in fairly high risk levels on Skin Deep. Despite that, though, they do seem to be a lot safer than most cosmetics/personal care products out there.

Stefanie, I know what you mean about the Clorox branded products. However I've heard they're quite good, that they actually did their homework to create genuinely green cleaning products. It's been interesting to watch after they bought Burt's Bees, seeing BB's ads get more up front and even confrontational about chemicals in bodycare products, rather than becoming a more watered down, playing it safe and less green company. The corporate biggies can be surprising in their incfluence/behavior!

Shaun, it is becoming easier to find cleaners that are less harsh and use less or no chemicals, partially because of TerraCycle, as well as other companies. For me, TerraCycle is the way to go. I've tried Clorox GreenWorks, and, although they work well enough, the name Clorox on a green cleaner just throws me off!

I saw an interview on CNBC with the founder of Terracycle and it was very interesting. I like their mission of recycling and reuse, especially in the area of cleaning supplies because most cleaners are harsh chemicals that negatively affect our planet.

So called dilemma can be a life time opportunity for someone and I am amazed to see that how this dilemma was managed into a successful eco friendly product range. I am not bothered but shall be happy to purchase that in even a little bit high prices. If we shall not encourage it today, in future we shall be ruined. Perhaps a little contribution today, can save our future next day.

What an inspiring interview! I also wrote about Terracycle a little while back and have been using these products too and am so glad to find a combination of natural, effective, and reuse of plastic bottles.

While we find ways to have more clean drinking water without resorting to bottled, I have another suggestion in addition to supporting Terracycle of what to do to make use of the bottles that are being created: buy a product made from recycled plastic bottles.

Act2GreenSmart http://www.act2greensmart.com is one example. They make a range of bags for different needs and each one tells you exactly how many bottles were used to make it, how much energy you saved, and how long that would power an average laptop.

I recently got their vertical messenger bag. It has a narrower profile than the typical horizontally oriented one, making it nice for walking busy streets, getting on trains, and it just somehow feels better holding books and laptop that way. It's got pockets of different sizes, making it easier to remember what is where when you need to quickly get it. They have these nice magnetic closures, much quicker then snaps or straps.
