I think food safety is something that can be achieved in the fullest only if the consumers are aware of what they are buying. i happened to live in China for a few years and i have observed that the Chinese consumers are very well aware of all food labels and other precautions a consumer must know and they buy with knowledge. The bottled water arrived in China from France and that it complied with WHO standards. The water that was found to have an extra amount of micro-organisms, would be shipped back to France.
