The World Creative Youth Forum is an event that brings together youth from around the world to discuss how to solve issues we are facing today. It was initiated by Prince Frederick Von Saxe-Lauenberg, founder and president of Children of the World 2000, and will take place in May of 2009.

As some people take the better share of the economic benefit of amassing the environmental resources, other parts of the world suffer.

Thus, the forum aims to draw attention of young people to take a proactive action to contribute to the achievement of sustainable future, which is in consonance with the Millennium Developmental Goals. Succinctly, it expects to break down the barriers between nations and create strong linkage among empowered youths.

The event will be a forum to discuss the topics of peace and human rights, climate change, sustainable lifestyle, entrepreneurship, education and technology, and advocacy for sustainable development. The organizing committee is headed by Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD), Inc. and Prince Frederick Von Saxe-Lauenberg.

WCYF is sponsoring a contest where you can win up to 15,000 EntreCard credits as well as a good deal of advertising for your site. It involves creating a poster for the event (first prize: 5000 EC), and/or joining the WCYF Cyber Earth Caravan (first prize: 10,000 EC). I put in to donate 1500 EC for the contest just a few minutes ago, so let's hope they receive my comment!
